A very beautiful poem of hope and renewal. I like the way you connect nature and human feelings and thoughts: ” i’m a soul scattering seeds”. In this piece there are lovely wordplays and rhymes. I love the lines that keep repeating themselves throughout the poem. I think these repetitions give more strength to the poem. They look like the chorus of a song. It is all very musical. A poem to be performed at an open mic and even to be sung. Love these lines too:
“i shan’t lose this stubborn hope
as death finally dies”

Thank you so much, Marta. I often write these poems with a somewhat lyrical bent, as if they’re just waiting for someone to come along and set them to music. I’m so glad you picked up on that! 😀

You are welcome. Indeed, this poem is lovely for its lyricism. I have almost finished your book. Still working on the final review.

This one sings. But the funny thing was, I read it first without seeing the title and it made a world of difference. When you go back and realize it is describing a dandelion, it changes the perception. When you don’t know the reference is a dandelion, your brain creates wonderful associations and interpretations. Either way, a lovely piece.

It must be forty years since I read Alen Ginsbergs Sunflower sutra,( http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/179382 ) but You just took me back to my glory days. Great poem. I loved it.
