she’d grind them up while strumming flesh smoothie
those soft-serve critters gave the church a bad name
animal rights stoogies sued and poked fingers
to stop the cruelty, debauchery, and shame
but she flicked the bean, forced the beasts to sign away
their status as fauna with pawprint, hoof and fluke
veggies for the tray, to dice, salt and roast
then she changed the signboard, and no one could rebuke

I actually was in the midst of reading your latest post in which there was a highlighted phrase that lead me here – absolutely sheer enjoyment! You and Tetiana weave these surrealistic waves of beautiful words that roll together onto the proverbial sand as a wave of vivid description that leads the us, the reader, down a dotted beach filled with a treasure trove of various seashells that we scramble about on trying to grab up each stunningly unique one least the next wave reclaim them into the deep – never to be seen again!
