100 WORD SKITTLE // Purrrfect Evolution

When you compare the cats of today to their predecessors, you realise just how tiny they’ve become. Domestication has taken the sabretooth out of the tiger, so to speak. Well, not quite all of the tooth, but you get my meaning.

On the other hand, cats have become much brainier, more sagacious. They’re so small that they must be quick on the uptake if they hope to continue to live in clover. Well, not quite in clover, but I’m sure you get my meaning.

Anyway, they’re cute when they purr, and only scratch and hiss occasionally. It’s a fair trade-off.

  1. Somehow your comparision sounds closer to an unmarried man versus a married man. Marriage takes out the Sabertooth so that they can only scratch and hiss. They become braineer rather than the earlier savage they were…

  2. Feline Finish

The future evolution of cats should bring an end to the Garfield-esque creatures some adore others endure. Domestic cats care nothing for what’s now or what’s next. Feral cats lurk patiently in the shadows for careless housecats to venture outside. Cat-knapping takes on a whole new meaning when an indoor kitty-cat falls under the claws and passions of a wildcat. The cat-trafficking toms will lure the hapless pampered Persians and Tabbies with the promise of unlimited high shelves on which to perch, and seas of humans to distain from above. Little do they suspect the cruel truth that awaits them.
