Six word story is a new one on me, great concept though. Goes back to Hemingway….!?? I may have to use it a bit myself . I’l start with this … Dark Mystery/ In the dead of the night. Thanks for the blog
I thought it went back to Hemingway too, but I’ve read recently that this is a bit of a myth that’s been perpetuated… so now I’m unsure. They’re fun to write though, so thank you for reading and enjoying! We really appreciate it! 😀
I always thought the story about how God made woman from man seemed backwards because of this. If men’s nipples are a remnant, then women came first. Of course, i don’t really believe that story, but whoever made it up must have been biased.
I completely agree with you on this, Andy. I think men are just jealous of women, and that’s why we’ve treated them so shabbily throughout history. We only want our nipples to have a function too! 😛
Throwing in some brand new thoughts. Stay with me. I believe the Bible about God creating Adam and Eve. They were innocents until they disobeyed God, at which time God said Eve would submit to her husband and bear children in pain, and Adam would work by the sweat of his brow. That as a premise, I ask if it was not possible, even probable, that God had a different plan for childbearing, one in which both mother and father had more equal obligations to bearing, caring for the child. You are the first people I have run this idea by. Let me know what you think.
That is delightfully novel idea, Oneta, and one I have never ever come across before. It would definitely explain why men have nipples too. Perhaps they are the remnants of something else that god had originally intended! Pass the father’s milk, please! 😛
Fortunately, I lack the evil capacity to enact torturous experiments on unsuspecting males to determine if this is possible. More accurately, I lack the funding and appropriate henchmen to pull it off. I’m sure I could Google the science know-how in a pinch.
Yes, they can. And they do in some periods if they undergo HRT (as is the case of many transgender persons). Of course they are not “men” anymore by then; and btw, the milk is absolutely normal. My sister was a transgender woman, so I have seen it by myself. — I do not understand the second part of your comment, so I cannot answer it.
Okay, that’s cool to know. Men’s breasts are just a hormone shot or three away from becoming milk producers. Men = cows.
As for my second comment “I lack the funding and appropriate henchmen to pull it off?” I simply was bemoaning (see: bitching) about my lack of talents as an evil villain. I so want to be a bad girl, but I lack the money to accomplish truly great acts of terribleness. Also, I’m very lazy. So many bad deeds to attempt, so little time to channel surf. 🙂
I kindly (but entirely!) disagree with your opinion – and other’s stated here- 😉 Anyway, this is your loss, since nipples are, or may be, extremely sensitive and tightly connected with other important parts of the masculine body – a source of pleasure in themselves for some of us. Nature is wise :))
🙂 Maybe not every men’s nipples are equally sensitive, but what I know for sure is that some old masculine prejudices work against the well-being of lots of men. Not just for disregarding their nipples…
I can relate to this. Men aren’t necessarily men because of society’s view of what a man should supposedly be. Our definitions need to be broader than that, and I agree. I couldn’t have put it better! 😀

I have to wonder, if given hormone injections, could men lactate? It would explain why they come with the male package–an emergency food source.

… but I am quite sure that my sis would have understood it, and your following comment, and, no doubt, responded to it properly.
