Home runs occur frequently here, Mark being the heavy hitter today. “She is dry, she is sand” definitely a common body and soul affliction these days. Every time I pause for a moment to eye check hominids in close proximity, I see that dry sand.
We’re huge fans of Mark’s writing here, H. He’s consistently good, always compelling, and never ever redundant. I personally wish I had even half his insight into the human condition.
I don’t qualify at all but by golly I can read and enjoy. Great stuff and I do appreciate all you and Tati bring to the table to keep my life and mind a great place to be.
Deep.

One thing I notice is how much more power the present tense brings to writing, especially poetry.

That’s a good point, V. It brings the reader into the here and now. It forces them to be fully present.
