a True poem

A true poem shouldn’t be read aloud.
It should be born in a low-priced inn,
It should be written on a paper napkin,
It should be crumpled and straightway
It should be burned in the ashtray…

A true poem shouldn’t be read aloud.

  1. How in the world did I miss this fantastic poem with such attitude? It’s so tragic, and brilliantly penned. I feel it to be so personal and intimate to share a thought on this level, it is sublime! Quite thought provoking, leaving me in deep thought, it captures a fleeting moment, this moment right now for the reader! Excellent!
