I liked this poem. It made me laugh.
Just out of curiosity, what kind of poem is it? Is that what “tanka” refers to?

Thank you so much, Lily ❤
Yes, it's 'Tanka', I do love this form!
The rules are not too difficult!
– A tanka must be exactly 5 lines.
– The lines must follow the 5-7-5-7-7 format: the first & third lines must have 5 syllables, all other lines must have 7 syllables.
– A tanka usually expresses a mood, thought, or feeling. It is usually written about nature.
– A tanka does not have to rhyme.
You should try! It's a great fun! 😛

Excellent poem dear Tati… Quite ironic but some words are better left unsaid I guess… By the way, I loved the third stanza. Love and best wishes to you! Aquileana 😀

Aww… thank you, my lovely Aquileana! ❤
I love your smile! It's quite ironic, yes… but the greatest follies in the world are made with a straight face 😛
My warmest wishes and have a great week!
Your Tati 🙂

You know… I had to look up what diphthongs were. They weren’t what I thought from the context of your words. 😉 I love this, Tati. Any recipient of a poem such as this would be a lucky person indeed.

I’ve always had problems with diphthongs, Tony 😛
(and I’m ashamed to ask you what you considered as diphthongs before)
LOL! A lucky person? I remember, my mother was really unhappy when I nibbled her nose (for some weird reasons I adored to nibble her nose when I was a child) 😀

What did I think they were? Ahem… Cough cough cough… 😛
Oh, look! There’s a pretty… erm, ant!
As for nibbling your mother’s nose, that’s really rather sweet! That’s like the next step up from Eskimo kisses! 😀
