  1. Yes laughing with me would have been much better, but he was young and immature and didn’t know that concept yet. Hopefully he has learned a few things and is better with his second wife. I made more perogies after that and they were delicious and just the right size.

  2. The perogies were a disaster because I made them a foot long and they wouldn’t boil (I didn’t know they were supposed to be small since I had never seen one before). I was crying when my husband came home from work and still found me cooking and in the same situation as when he left 8 hours before.). He laughed at me and ran next door to tell his sister about how funny it all was.
I am happy your ending was a good one.

    • Aw, that’s not very nice at all. When you were trying to do something nice, all he could do was laugh at you? Much better to laugh with you. Then you would have felt much better about the whole thing, I’m sure. 😦

  3. I love this strip and the detail in each square, just the wallpaper alone is fantastic. Love the message too about trying to surprise our partner even when it is something we have never attempted before and it doesn’t matter about the outcome it’s the attempt that is important. Love your art Tony and insights.

  4. I love this strip, every square and the detail and the wall paper! WOW. Love the message too. Reminds me of the first time I made perogies.
Beautiful art and story. Heart warming. Thank you Tony.

    • Thank you so much, Summerhill. I’m glad you enjoyed this! I especially loved drawing them laugh at the end. There’s something infectious about laughter. (Did the perogies turn out okay, or were they a bit of a disaster?)
