The North Wind doth blow
and we shall have snow,
and what shall poor Robin do then?
Poor thing.
He’ll sit in a barn,
and keep himself warm,
and hide his head under his wing,
poor thing….

you made it look like Christine wrote the poem, so as it’s a British nursery rhyme from the 16th century I’m thinking Christine must be just over 400 yrs old 🤣🤣

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention, Christine. I really appreciate that! I’ve now made the appropriate adjustments! 🙂

Gosh, I remember reciting this when I was at Junior School. It was one of my father’s favourites 🙂

My father used to mime the actions

Is there footage of these actions on YouTube? Methinks I’m gonna have to look…

Not with my father acting them out. That was a family affair, a Christmas treat. I think it was something he’d learned at school. And if I tell you, covid permitting, he’ll celebrate his 100th birthday this summer. So you can know how long ago it was when he was at school! 🙂

Wow! That’s fantastic! One hundred years is definitely something to celebrate! I wonder… Could you act out those moves for him as part of his birthday celebrations? 😉

I think the virus isolation restrictions will mean no birthday party. Which he’ll probably appreciate since he’s already told me that he didn’t want a fuss, it’s just another day etc

What’s your favourite kind of soup?

My favourite soup? I always hated soup, especially tomato soup. There is a long story for that but won’t share it here. Now I like my soup made with homemade bone broth and a few vegetables and blended with old cheddar cheese grated on top. Perfect ❤️
