Not quite sure why, but something about this reminds me of Björk. Maybe it’s just the word “vespertine”? But I think it’s something else, too.

Man, I’ve gotta familiarise myself with some of her work. Which album would you recommend I listen to first?

Oh, there are so many! Her earlier stuff is a lot more poppy ( ‘Debut’; ‘Post’).
My personal fave is ‘Medulla’. There are no instruments- just voice. But those voices ( she gets lots of guest vocalists/ beatboxers etc on) really sound like instruments most of the time. ( Mike Patton makes a contribution to it, too, which is exciting for me 🙂 ).
But ‘Vespertine’ is gorgeous. ‘Homogenic’ is a fave, too. Anyway, I could go on and on, lol. I hope you find some tracks that you really dig!
