I like this very much; it’s rhythmically beautiful as well. Briar Rose is one of my favourite fairy tales, included an updated version by Jane Yolen.

Your lil ol’ poem is apropos at this moment to me here in the US. So much water under the bridge. So many rules followed in the past. Tired of wasting time and energy.
