I try to pull words
over gnarled reality.
They bulge at the seams.
They rip like worn-out stockings.
Fast. Uncompromisingly.
Darn! Reality
is prickly and awkward-shaped.
I throw ripped phrases
into the rubbish-words-bin
and take the next unworn pair.

Thank you for liking “Return.” I like the clever way you portray the creative process of writing! Writing is indeed a strange trial-and-error process. 🙂

Agreed. It never seems to turn out quite the way one expects, does it? 😛

Yes, I know! Changing just one word can change the meaning of an entire sentence, and then you may have to start over again. However, sometimes it is a good thing when your writing turns out differently than you planned. You may come across an idea that was better than the one you had in mind. 🙂
Before I go, thank you for liking “Levitation.” 🙂

You had me at stockings! Hehe. You capture the writers struggles, attempting to piece together some lyrical lines to tray and capture reality, people do not appreciate what writers have to go through weighing words.

Yes, throes of creation such a painful thing… but there’s a reason why I’m happy that I’m not a sculptor 😛
