This is one of the finest poems I’ve seen. I forwarded the page to myself. Very incredible.

I’ve also sent it to someone who is trying to have produced a major work from the amazing life story of his family. I think it would be a great fit. I hope his work will move ahead, and I always forward interesting asides to him in order to try to help this project reach fruition for him. I hope you don’t mind. We just do a lot of waiting, and then we’ll see. Thank you for your own work. I much appreciate it.

I enjoyed reading the poem though the imagery was dense and shrouded in mystery. At a psychoanalytic level, I tow this poem on to the term: melancholia, a sense of mourning for an imaginary object. The ideal of a person as an Jungian archetype is never realized. Many of the tropes used juxtapose with medieval poetry folk lore and romance. Well done. Anand Bose from Kerala

Ha ha ha! I know what you mean, Stephanie. Sometimes I’m a bit lost for words too. It means a lot that you popped by to have a read though, so thank you! 😀

Amazing poem with vivid images…
“i’d sooner melt into her skin
than to be mere smoke, and dying
one drab breath at a time”
