I await the summer rain. It spits. It mizzles. It goes and seldom comes again. I live in the only part of UK that’s a desert! But, celebrations, today we have intermittent spitting. Perhaps the drought is over.
We love the rain here. No one carrries umbrellas. If we get wet, it dries quickly. Very low humidity. In Albuquerque, if we get 9.5 inches of rain + snow in an entire year, we feel lucky. Other parts of the state get more. Sometimes we get way less – it’s never a given. Drought has been very common over the last few decades.
At least rain is better than what is coming in a few months – the dreaded snow.

I have only ever seen snow once in my life. I guess it’s not so exotic for you in your neck of the world, my friend? 😆

I would happily send you some of the forecasted snow this winter (early predictions are saying a colder and snowier winter here in Iowa)! ❄️❄️❄️

Summer’s over. It’s autumn now, I know that by the volume of water that ‘falls’ from the sky 🤪

Oh, to live somewhere with very low humidity. How marvellous that would be! That feels pretty lucky to me!

Yes, but once you experience low humidty, you can never go back. 🙂
