Oops!… We Did It Again (Bastet by Tony Single & Tetiana Aleksina)

Erm… hullo there. (This is rather awkward…)

Dear Reader, the stuff that was originally posted here has been removed.

We have done this because said stuff has since been included in one of our published books. We hope you’ll believe us when we say we’re not trying to be stingy. No, this has been done to honour the people who have already spent their hard-earned money on our eBook creations.*

If, however, for some reason you’re unable to buy one of our books, and feel you’ll die without seeing this piece of writing, then please contact us via admin@unbolt.me. We won’t allow our Dear Readers to fade away in the dark. We’ll send you the piece in question, and it will be absolutely free. All you need do is ask.

* Of course, we would be like two happy puppies if you too decided to buy one of our books.

Saudade ~ The one terminally ill collaboration

unbolt…
I dream of you and wake up with a jolt…
My body gleams over two hundred volts…
And though I pray each lonely night for not to soil it…
It means I’ve used my electric blanket as a toilet…

unbolt says:
Oh… a poor dirty blanket… Does it mean that I’m your worst nightmare?

raycabiro says:
Ohh, it’s just unfortunate that your name rhymes with volt so I had no choice but to make it about weeing on an electric blanket… Maybe next time I could think of something a bit more savoury, maybe about a colt that moults.

WOW! Such a lovely tribute for a girl… Weeing on an electric blanket and mangy colts. I can bet you’re full of envy now, aren’t you? Yes, guys, I had no choice. Our collaboration was inevitable – like an annual moult. Thank you, Ramon! I adore you… You’re completely awesome!

Oh… last but not least! My special thanks to ARTISH for giving me permission to use her drawings. Thank you very much, Tish!

She always sits alone at the corner table
And smokes cheap cigarettes with a yellow label
She clicks idly on an email attachment
That tells a short story of a sexual harassment
The stale smoke lingers with a sense of unease
The same sense she’s got of her venereal disease

She’s the last vestal of this perverted Parthenon
She scrolls her friend list… the damned deceitful pantheon
Each face hides a secret of a sordid infection
The virus that’s inside her is the germ of affection
The memories all linger but her future self fades
She never even loved him, now she’s probably got AIDS

She’s just a Petri dish with a collection of human filth
Her verminous spongy womb is like the land is in good tilth
She’s riddled with the maladies that murder and smother
Her only hope was that the viruses would kill one another
But the one thing they left out from her medical flow chart
Was the worst disease of all, how he was breaking her heart

A screensaver fades… a carefree laughing girl at a tender age…
She stubs out a cigarette and goes slowly to the tiny stage
Each face in the crowd tells a story of shame
Where once they burned her records now they’re singing her name
Her introduction music starts to vibrate the stylus
And with their love in her heart, she’ll beat this sex virus

House of Cards ~ The one ‘Four Flush’ collaboration

We, girls, love fairy tales. Yes, we do. We believe in Prince Charming, Eternal Love, Happy Endings and Other Bullshit. We believe in ‘They Lived Happily Ever After’, of course. Who can blame us? You? And you too? Hey, you, go away!

For those staying… I’m happy to present my new collaboration.

Cynthia Morgan
OMG… She is the creator of the mythical realm of Jyndari and author of the recently published epic fantasy, ‘Dark Fey: The Reviled’, which draws the reader into a mystical realm of primordial forests, magic and the lives of Light-loving and Darkness-revering Feykind. Can you believe it? Me neither!

I was brazen (and full of boundless self-confidence… as always) and sent my request about a collaboration to Cynthia. She agreed. Can you believe it? Me neither!

But it’s true! Cynthia is an amazing and kind person, very cheerful, very friendly and open to collaborations, despite the lack of time (Cynthia is currently working on her next book). So, I was among the lucky ones who got this opportunity to work with Cynthia. YAY!

Thank you, Cynthia! Thank you for your unique style and your odd sexy split infinitive.

What more can one say? Oh, yeah! This narration has 13 haiku (so scary, yes?)… and… it’s my first collaboration with a woman. Good God! Can you believe it? Me neither!

Whirligig of time…
I was born on the slop bog
under shining stars

Chance of Blighted Fate
Twisting all once Treasured
Sorrow Masking Love

My pillows were filled
with warm putrid leaves, peat moss
and innocent dreams

Then Chance Twisted Fate
Beyond all Expectation
Brief Moment of Time

…ball dresses for rats,
sweetest lullabies for toads,
glowworms in the hair…

Sweetest Enchantment
Beguiling Prince Dancing Fair
Beneath soft Moonlight

Grandma’ folios,
a philtre. Love is easy!
I took up the reins

Spinning in Moonlight
Whispers of Fairytale Dreams
Midnight bells Tolling

I rushed at full speed
to a tryst… A braking path
on wet fallen leaves…

Shared Oblivion
Deliciously Tempting
Moonlight Singing Sweet

Oops! Loud brake squealing…
The one boot lies on the road…
Where is my fair prince?

Masquerade of Fate
Time Beguiled by my Ruse
House of Cards, Falling

Whirligig of time…
I was born on the slop bog…
and spent all my life

Collaboration: A Canvas

Method two madness.

I have followed this amazing blog from the very first days of my blogging.
I’m a faithful fan of Kerfe and Nina… two wizards of artworks.

Yes, I do love handicrafts and I can do many things with my hands…
(Oops… don’t let me mention my half-finished scarves and a sweater without sleeves!)

Can you imagine my enthusiasm when I got a letter from Kerfe? No, you can’t! I was truly happy that I could become a part of this creative celebration! WOW! JUST WOW!

Please, enjoy!

It’s worth reading… and to be seen! Don’t miss this blog, guys! I would never cheat you, my dearest Readers, and I’m not going to cheat you this time. It’s really great!

P.S. My personal favorites are mandalas. Stunning, fantastic and unusual mandalas created by Kerfe… OMG! I’m in love! ❤

Tetiana Aleksina’s poem of last December proved the perfect muse for an idea I had in the back of my mind at the time.  I arranged and cross-stitched it onto one of the working graphs done during my many years as a knit designer.

I probably have several hundred of these graphs, along with knitted swatch samples, that I haven’t repurposed or discarded yet (I threw out many of the graphs and now I’m regretting it a bit…).  What to do with them?  I’ve made dolls and pillows and masks from the swatches, but haven’t done anything before with the designs on paper.

Tia (aka Unbolt) always provides vivid images in her poetry.  She also enjoys collaborations.  Her poem”A Canvas” takes…

The Odd Days & Life of Elatha Jarlath McGhille. Part 0. Prologue ~ The one came in from the cold collaboration

I love collaborations.
I do love collaborations.

LOL! Deja vu, yes?

Well, guys, I know, the less I write, the less mistakes I make. I just want to say that I’m happy to show you my second collaboration with Greg. No, I haven’t learnt more about Greg during the last month. The color of his eyes and his blood type stay a big mystery for me still. And his zodiac sign too… But, do you know, I don’t care! His sparkling talent and his twisted imagination are enough for me. Just relax… take it easy… and have great fun with us!

he was taught to do multitude ingenious things
carving fine soap bubbles and beading tissue wings
…an inevitable interruption of such teachings
midnight phantasmagoria, suspected visions

as barking wings crawl along his wall as shadows.
fright? no. impressed… then comes the invitations –
join to the Halloween party in the gingerbread house!
guest stars are Koschei the Immortal and Mickey Mouse!

no. impressed… he throws the flier into the bin
and greets an old banshee, sipping acrid gin
“Aha! Haha!” she yells then claps her hands
a moment of mental illumination perhaps. She stands

then begins to sing songs off and on key surprisingly
Rock&Roll-Old Soul-R&B… then empties her bags for him to see
an ‘A-minor’ whistle, two vials with scalding tears, false nails,
a half-finished piece of knitting, a book with Celtic fairy tales…

“Where are my glasses?” “On your head… shoo!” (the barking wings
try to filch a clew from the bag) “Shoo!! I’ll clip your hamstrings!”
She clips at the air with her scissors,
like a pair of hand hedge trimmers,

“WTF!” yelled the barking wing
Her response, “You’re gonna have ta learn ta respect somethin’.”
He laughs up his sleeve at this innocent bustle
they adore each other, it’s a friendly hustle…

“Hey, guys!” And all of a sudden… a picture becomes indistinct…
White coats… and an agitated voice, “Fetch a doctor! He winked!”
Alarms sound. Kisses in stitches on rolling stretchers. She stares.
Returns wink and smile. “Tell ’em don’t mess up my hair.”

…this case was unique, doctors couldn’t understand
why this young guy doesn’t want to leave his dreamland.
This old harridan is a fatal case, yes, but this boy…
His coma seems so artificial. It looks like a ploy!

He just doesn’t want to live… and his happy pale face looks uncanny.
A medical ventilator is switched on. “Hey! I’m home, granny!”
With a crooked smile, a grimace, a hug and a kiss
She says to him, “Finally an end to all of this.”
