Sometimes I think that I must live without
My ears.
The slops of words just flow into this downspout.
Sometimes I dream that I must live without
My eyes.
The loathsome things just settle on this hangout.
My nose, mouth… The ineffective stuff.
My fingers would be quite enough
For my escape from this dull jail.
God bless you, monsieur Louis Braille!

I have a terrible fear of losing my eyesight…Knowing Braille would alleviate that, no doubt. My choice has an affinity with yours….https://grieflessons.wordpress.com/2015/04/16/speaking-in-signs/

I can definitely relate to this poem, Un, especially the ears part. (I suspect that you’re always smiling on the inside, otherwise you wouldn’t recognise them on the outside.) 😉

Thank you, Tony!
I hope, it doesn’t hurt you… Let me know if it’s so, OK? I hate the thought that I can upset you.
Hidden smiles… yes, I’m a prof of this science 😉
(BTW! ‘Inside I’m Dancing’ (2004) – a great movie!)

No, it doesn’t upset me at all. I like it. 🙂 Professor Un, it looks like you’ve introduced me to another film I have not seen! I shall add it to my list… 😛

Uf… What a start of the week… I hope, yours is better, than mine 🙂 My fingers need help for escaping… these rusty bars… do you have a saw or a file?

Sending a jeweler’s file and small saw, maybe a spoon?

Oh, my dear brave rescuer… Thank you…
I would prefer a vintage hatpin or a grandmother’s brooch… a thing with a great history, that is full of mystery and inscrutability… like you, my little talented Alice!

My pleasure, Tia. I’m laughing reading your reply. I hope it was a hopeful Knock. But I honestly liked it……sometimes there is so much of freedom in the captivity. 🙂

Dear Reva!
I’m a pretty serious person in the real life… To be honest, I use a smile on my page more often than a smile on my lips… But I really like to make people smile :))
I’m happy to see the smiles. They light our life 🙂

Dearest Tia, I’m seriously drawn to what you have said. You have an amazing heart sweetie. It is really wonderful to see others smiling but one everlasting smile for oneself is no harm. What if, I say I like smile on lil Tia’s face…………..would you make me smile by carrying a smile on your lips..???
Stay Smiling! 🙂
