Love the Murakami reference. Makes me want to pick it up and re-read it again. I’ve been wanting to read On the Road. You may have just inspired me to go read it! Enjoyed the poem. Thanks for sharing!

From one Murakami fan to another, I say do it! Sputnik Sweetheart is absolutely worth reading again and again. I’ve yet to read On the Road though… 🙂

That last verse in the poem was a great way of tying the two seperate people together. I enjoyed it a lot.

I agree with you, Richard. You get a real sense of their connection at the end there, and you find yourself hoping that there will be a sequel where they reunite! 😛

Agreed. Will be keeping an eye out for a sequel to this one for sure.

Ohhhh … I live here in Barathrum. And I have met so may; would you like me to introduce you? Oh … but it is such a dark place … It is the place of Bast, whom you have met before… It is also the place of the Leviathan, of the Şeytan, of the Ddiafol … Oh, are you sure you want to go to Barathrum? Ah! An extraordinary trip, to be sure … but soul endangering! (Evil, cynical laugh!) 😉

It might be a nice place to visit, Jonathan, but I don’t think I’d want to live there. I have no idea how Tati would feel about it though. Perhaps it would be just her cup of molten lava… 😛

I love the line “from yellowed speechless pages” — the irony there is as heartbreaking as the poem. Great work.

I miss the old CCCP. They really had the scare and naming things going.

I agree, Violet. Tati’s words do have a way of making one want more, don’t they? My favourite stanza is the last one. I keep hoping that she’ll return to him…
