Enchanting! A poem which had me reading it twice not only to not let anything escape from my understanding but also for utter enjoyment! Happy Easter to both!

This becomes even more dense and rich when considered in light of the title. I’d love to know more about your intention. Is it an Easter poem?

Hm, it wasn’t intended as such but when we realised how the themes dovetail into the general spirit of Easter we knew we had to publish it now. 🙂

So you were using Anastasia purely in the sense of “raising up”?
It really is a beautifully constructed poem.

Certainly in the sense of rebirth which is absolutely what the major theme of Easter is really… this whole idea that death is absolutely not the end, and that love transcends all.

That’s beautiful! Neruda is one of my favorite poets because when he speaks of love there’s always the sense of a sharp edge hidden below the beautiful surface. Here you speak of the darkness where beauty transcends and overcomes it.

Yes, you have it right there, Nadia. It’s the glimmer of hope of… well, a kind of transcendence that only love can bring. 🙂

So powerful and disturbing. I love the interplay of dark and light imagery–butterfly and noose, for example.

That was certainly a dynamic that we intended from the beginning, Nadia, so we’re quite relieved that this came across as clearly as it did! 😀

Good. Like little berries, I hope. I’m impressed by your work, you’ve come on in lots of little leaps and bounds. A great coming together of minds.

It’s been quite satisfying to put together things like this. It’s quite a process, but rewarding!

I agree. I must publish our collab. If you are happy for it to be as it is, or not.

Absolutely! I was wondering how you were getting on with your portion of it, and if the entire thing was to your satisfaction or not… 🙂

My portion…I did the last stanza, you noodle nut. Let me look again when I’ve had a brief rest. I’m happy to do another one and then send it to you for its final check.
