Erm… hullo there. (This is rather awkward…)
Dear Reader, the stuff that was originally posted here has been removed.
We have done this because said stuff has since been included in one of our published books. We hope you’ll believe us when we say we’re not trying to be stingy. No, this has been done to honour the people who have already spent their hard-earned money on our eBook creations.*
If, however, for some reason you’re unable to buy one of our books, and feel you’ll die without seeing this piece of writing, then please contact us via admin@unbolt.me. We won’t allow our Dear Readers to fade away in the dark. We’ll send you the piece in question, and it will be absolutely free. All you need do is ask.

This has given me pause, and I think that’s the mark of a good poem.

Deep, I like your poem. It somehow relates to my fave movie “ring of the nibelungs”.

A movie that I seriously should check out! I’ve heard a lot about it!

The dictionary took his pages
& mouth the words
W/0 there appropriate
Sounds all the letters
Stood patiently waiting
When asked his lips passed
nothing but letters
To spell was elementary
From his sounds came the words

That’s a perfect accompaniment to the poem, Sheldon. Thank you. 😀

It made me cry TS, that you find religion a man’s game, set unto himself.
True, my God is very jealous, that we should have none other above Him. Mockery and jest are two of those.
I was hoping that instead you could condemn those who ‘hold’ the Crucifixion as a piety, instead of just a terrible way to die.

To be perfectly honest, Philip, I don’t enjoy the thought that this poem might cause offence to any of the faithful that might read it. However, I do have decades of misguided piety of my own that I need to unlearn and shed, and writing about it is a much needed part of that process. I’m glad you read this anyway. It can’t have been easy to sit through. 😦

Certain linguistic anthropologists think that religion is a language virus that re-writes pathways in the brain, dulls critical thinking.

The worst thing about today’s religion is the followers themselves. Religion makes no sense to me too.

I wish I’d always had your view on it, my friend. I used to be pretty religious for a while there. Thank god I came to my senses. 😛

I didn’t always think along similar lines to you, Kindra. Thankfully, I did eventually come to my senses. 😛

I like your poems but I find the links a bit off-putting. Why do you put them in?

That’s a fair criticism, Sarada. Basically we love to provide little breadcrumbs to other things that our readers might be interested in reading, like a funhouse maze of mirrors or something. 😛

In “The Devil Next Store,” a psychologist categories “spiritual abuse” as a common source of psychological trauma. It’s the tendency of an adult to place themselves between the child and god.
Here’s an answer to your implied question, Tony, offered by someone that has chosen to use scripture to bring healing into the world: https://everdeepening.com/2014/12/25/whose-free-will-is-it-anyways/
