Red-Windowsills

It was nothing serious, really…
Just some drunk kisses on the rave-up.
It was fully absurdly and freely
Two different hues of lipsticks on one cup.

We were peers… OK. I was a bit older.
The same musical tastes and life views.
We both were like a password-protected folder…
OK. She was always losing her clues.

When I entered to the kitchen she was painting a windowsill.
(I’m sure that right here I fucked up with articles and tenses.)
Yes, she was painting with a scarlet nail polish. A tiny quill.
Hellish stink. Hellish color. I swear, it was hell in all senses!

I went… and returned with a bottle of paint remover.
I just thought that red doesn’t fit. I would prefer black.
And she said, “Wow… booze. Cheers, my Rover…”
And she took a sip. Only one huge sip. Only a sip… and without a snack.

GUEST POST // When Time Stopped For You by Kasey Stafford aka BasicAudio

The younger days grew older,
With the hourglass dropping bits of time,
I sit, staring at shared memories left unto me.
These nights grow colder.
I’m throwing wishes toward the heavens,
For you to walk this earth again.
To see my friend, I wish
I knew why you left.
Still I was left to wonder.
Left to stare at the remnants of a shattered life.
Lost to it’s meaning, suffered in it’s feelings.
The news broke me in two.
How your skies faded from blue to black, I’ll never understand.
How could you give up?
You left me in the dark,
Before you blew out your last candle.
Tears falling like the stars,
Where your light now resides.
Flickering echoes of a soul lost in the universe,
Forever reaching for Gods hand,
While mine are shaking, gathering up sand.
Piecing together the hourglass,
Holding it together with memories,
So it can never be broken again.
Rest peacefully with the stars.

Underestimate

You maimed me. You thought
That now I go down in price,
That I am just naught…
You are a moron! Surprise!
Ugliness costs more much more!

GUEST POST // Lost In Translation by Tokoni O. Uti

The resulting fruit is unable to mirror the tree.
I’m unable to crack the code that is me.
The square pegs are lined up in defiant rows.
And the lone vine will unorthodoxly grow.
We’re fighting the tides of unkind situation.
And feeling the pain of lost in translation.
