Why ‘unbolt’?

Like introverts everywhere we prefer to sit inside our dark private sheds. And while we may prefer to hide our writings inside big wooden chests – behind bolt and bar – the time comes when those chests overflow. It’s time to unbolt, to open the chests. It’s time to show what is hidden.

You probably won’t find here brightly colored pictures, hit songs, etc. We want to keep a focus on the texts. We want to give absolute freedom for your inner vision because we trust you completely, dear Readers.

We want to create an adventure for you. There are no dead-ends or wrong turns. Every click is teleportation, a turn of the key and another open door for you. We call upon you to not be shy! You can touch, click and explore every nook here!

We also recommend that you pay attention to the comments. Sometimes a discussion below the main post is no less interesting than the post itself. We promise that you’ll find verses and prose there, brightly colored pictures, hit songs, etc. Our dearest Writers and Readers are always creative!

    • I like writing in English but outside social media and wordpress I barely get to talk in it. I normally use Filipino, but we also have our own dialect in our place.

    • I’ve had a look at your site and I have to say that I’m quite impressed. Please keep it up! (I’ll keep reading.) And, yes, I see what you mean about writing vs. reading in a language other than your own. Reading and writing are often two very different prospects.

    • They are indeed. I do hope I get to know this Tati of yours… Does he also have a site in wordpress? I could use some advice because I’m not sure about the grammar in poetry. It gets confusing most times that I become unsure of what I am writing.

I’m Tony and I’ve only just recently partnered with her for the purpose of collaborating, so you’ll be seeing a lot of me around Unbolt too. As for Tati giving advice, I’m sure she would be very happy to. However, I feel I should warn you that she’s pretty busy these days so it may be some time before she’s able to respond. She does truly appreciate your support though. We couldn’t do any of this without people like yourself always reading and commenting. 🙂

  3. So much to say so many ways to say it. I love the Unbolt concept. Anything for that matter that ‘lets it out.’ Unchain, unravel, unleash, untie but Unbolt must take the cake. Inspiring. That’s what I love about writing and blogging, it lets me jump into a stream of consciousness that leads to a sea of thoughts. Freedom, hallelujah!
