The ending line worked so well–a little sarcasm 🙂

So, you picked up on that, Azul… I thought you would! 😉

Haha, yes I did 🙂 I have a poem coming up later that I was going to dedicate to you–only because of the “E” word choice–but was afraid someone might get the wrong idea. When you see it, you’ll “get it”…unless of course our mutual Swiss Cheese memory issues prevent it 🙂 Hoping your week has begun well 🙂

Aw! It’s the thought that counts, Azul, so I’ll keep my eyes peeled for it. I’m about to sift through my blog reader now actually… 😀

It will be up Wednesday (here in the US)–you’ll recognize it, I’m sure, but the clue is that it’s the “E” word poem…:) Catch you later!

SO excited now! I’ll be sure to check for it! Take it easy, Azul! 🙂

I think I’ve got your hopes up too high–it’s just that it uses a word I remember you liked 🙂 And thanks for the reminder–I need to crash on the couch for awhile, too many nights that don’t end till 5 or 6 am!

How on earth do you manage to stay up that long?! Sure, I used to be able to when I was much younger but I haven’t done so for decades now. I’m lucky if I can make it 1am these days. 😛

I have no sane answer for you! I’m like a child who just won’t give in and go to bed–last night I was watching TV, and woke myself up snoring at 2 am, so that was “early” for me to call the day done 🙂

It’s good to be a child. Being an adult is too boring! 😛

You’ve got that right! I’m way overdue to have a semblance of childhood 🙂

And moved to a higher level of understanding about race relations. The end . . .and the beginning.

From this silly little poem? Aw, I’m glad you think so, Katharine! 😛

I like happy endings and hopeful beginnings. (I loved the poem, and I’m not a poetry person. Animals are my gurus.)

We can certainly learn a lot from animals. Most people laugh when I say this but it’s true. 🙂

That’s exactly why the poem is not silly. If we could see ourselves as animals see us . . .

Ah, I see what you mean, Katharine. Yes, your point is well made! 😀

Thanks, Rosie! I agree. It’s unfortunate that they died at the end, but I guess some ducks and platypuses just won’t learn. 😛

Oh, this made me grin all the way through and then laugh at the end. So much fun! Thanks, Tony! 😀

You’re so welcome! While the underlying topic is certainly a serious one, I felt it’d be good to shake things up with something a bit more humorous. 🙂

Definitely. And sometimes the people slinging insults are so ridiculous the only thing to do is laugh. Or you know, go on a rampage, but that’s generally frowned upon…

True, and rampages can tend to inadvertently harm innocent bystanders as well. Like you, I’ll stick with the laughing thing. Ha ha! 😛
