GUEST POST // Alone by Purple Creature

quietness fills the air
all I hear are my footsteps
all I see is the mist of air leaving my mouth
my breathing is becoming labored
my knees are hurting
my side has knife stabbing pains
all this is becoming white noise
the pain is getting worse
I smile
because I know it will be stopping soon
everything will be stopping soon
I have been slowly climbing a tall mountain
my tall mountain
I have been climbing it for years it seems
I can see the mountain top
my pulse quickens
a gasp is let out
I am at the precipice of nirvana
there is no one here for me
I am alone
I quicken my pace to a full sprint
in a second I will have reached the mountain top
and will full on leap off it
finally
my destiny
finally
hopefully
there will be people on the other side waiting for me
hello and goodbye world
thanks for nothing
because you gave me nothing

GUEST POST // Reborn by Purple Creature

I stand on the precipice of darkness, overlooking the world,
Reborn, a metamorphosis complete…
I walk naked and exposed in the forest of life…
Searching for my equal… my soul… my mate…
Cognizant of my mortality and nakedness
I remain undeterred and continue to walk.
Thorns are ripping my flesh as I walk
Insects are feasting on my blood, and yet
Unfettered I continue on my journey.
It will soon be dark… I will be walking blind soon,
But every journey has its trials and tribulations,
Mine is no different…
Growing dizzy… growing faint…
Crawling on my hands and knees…
A noise is abuzz in the forest
It’s getting louder… it’s getting closer
A shadow is looming in the forest
Growing bigger and bigger
My journey is coming to an end…
Lying on my back now,
Covered in sweat and blood,
I await the noise, I await the shadow…
The die of my life has been cast…
I open my arms, I spread my legs…
I cry out, “I am here”
I await my destiny…
Good or Bad, is not for me to judge…
I am who I am, and that’s all I can be…

GUEST POST // Woman In Black by Obsidian Visionary

I feel the pain in my head,
As rage grips my mind like a claw.
I now see with clarity the Woman in Black,
Radiant as the sun and without flaw.

Her ashen face cloaked by an exquisite veil,
Like the sun eclipses the moon.
As she beckons me closer with half a smile,
A step forward and I’m ready to swoon.

Her beautiful face turns murky with every step,
As my head throbs with a need for release.
Is it folly to continue on this treacherous path,
Or is it destiny calling in all its wrath.

I choose to move onward, pain now gripping my heart,
While the epitome of beauty casts down her impenetrable veil.
To reveal not a face of serenity,
But one ravaged to all extremity.

I try to run but the agony is far too great,
Falling to the ground, flashes of white seize my mind.
Peace engulfs me in its arms as I take my final breath,
Looking at the Woman in Black who was nothing but death.
